A triple shaded pure Bishnupuri silk saree with contrast borders and a colourful palla. The body of the saree displays three shades while the palla is made up of colourful stripes – both of which are a distinctive design feature of this saree. The body and borders carries the print of traditional patterns based on everyday rural life, flora and fauna found in Bengal. These motifs also mimick the ‘alpana’ motifs often used to decorate the floors and walls of Bengali households.
