The white with crimson red border combination is a traditional saree, usually worn on auspicious days, commonly referred to as 'shada saree lal par' in Bengali. The saree has a broad floral border at the bottom and a similar narrower border on the top. The floral-patterned borders run across the plain creamish white body of the saree. The palla is made of a woven combination of diamond, temple and stripe patterns.
